We are now recruiting for the position of Assistant Greenkeeper

Pay: Up to £26,436.00 per year

Job Description:

An opportunity has arisen to join our Greenkeeping Team, to work at the picturesque course at Clitheroe Golf Club.

The 18 hole facility is a welcoming, progressive and vibrant members` club, providing exceptional golfing and social experience for members, guests and visitors alike.

The club has excellent greenkeeping facilities, a modern fleet of maintenance equipment and a strategic plan of projects to enhance the golf course.

Experience is not necessary, full training will be given

The applicant should be:

· Able to work to the highest standards and possess a keen attention to detail with an ability to provide the best possible playing surfaces.

· Have the ability to provide input into work discussions and course development.

· Ability to work as part of a team.

· Have a keen interest in ecology and sustainability management.

· Excellent communication and timekeeping skills.

· The application to build a career in golf course management and the determination to continue and accelerate professional development.

The position is full-time, permanent and offers a competitive salary and a range of benefits. Weekend and bank-holiday duties are covered on a rota and paid at overtime rates.

Clitheroe Golf Club was founded in 1891 in the picturesque surroundings of the Ribble Valley, Lancashire. The 18th hole facility welcomes over 700 members, visiting parties and external functions through its gates each year, where we provide an exceptional golfing and social experience.

The successful applicant will:

·Have previous experience in a similar role

·Understand and be fully knowledgeable re. HACCP, food safety, etc.

·Always adhere to health and safety procedures

·Support the Head Chef in the general running of the kitchen

·Be proactive in inspiring for the very best at all times

·Hold and undertake the same principles set out by the Head Chef & Senior management – i.e. freshly prepared food, using local, fresh ingredients.
